Happy Friday everyone,
"If it's not FUN it's not to be done!". That's what Jesus said to me a few years ago and wanted me to relay to you today. However, the concept of 'fun' is one I struggle with as a Christian. Amidst pursuing Godly purpose, making disciples (Matthew 28:19) and attempting to love and serve my neighbour (Micah 6:8; Mark 12:31) fun just seems, well, a little frivolous.
Moreover, most of what the world presents as fun, is incongruent with my Christian values, so why would Jesus give me this saying? I think it's because without a daily dose of FUN our lives would be miserable and miserable people aren't a great representation of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20; Isaiah 55:12).
Thus, I encourage you this Jubilee Weekend to give your 'adult life' worries, stresses, and struggles to Jesus and have some good clean Christian FUN! (1 Peter 5:7; Matthew 11:29-30).
