Leaving a Legacy of Faith - Remembering Her Majesty the Queen

Happy Friday everyone,

Honestly, it seems rather strange to say 'Happy Friday' when I suspect that most of you, like me, are mourning the passing of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. This week I'm writing with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart, but I'm comforted in my grief by the legacy of faith that Her Majesty the Queen has left behind. A legacy that based on her relationship with Jesus and her words points us back to Him and reminds us that we CAN:

1. 'do all things through Christ' (Philippians 4:13)

2. 'trust in the Lord with all our hearts' (Proverbs 3:5-6)

3. be forgiven and in turn, forgive (Ephesians 4:32)

4. rely on God to comfort us in difficult times (Psalm 23:1-4)

5. rely on God to heal our broken hearts (Psalm 147:3)

6. contribute to God's plan of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19)

7. learn how to live through Christ's example (Matthew 11:29)

8. "serve one another humbly in love" (Galatians 5:13)

9. keep doing good, even when it's challenging (Galatians 6:9)

10. accept and share God's love with others (John 3:16; Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

So today, I encourage you to reflect on our late Queen's faith legacy and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what lessons you can learn from her extraordinary life of dedication and service.

God Bless,

Megs
