Guild members kick-off another busy year
Duns & District Parishes Guild - over 100 years young and the largest in the Scottish Borders - began our new session with a live streaming of the Annual Gathering which was held in Perth this year. The event is always filled with interesting and inspirational speakers and a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for the work of the Guild Projects. This year was no exception, with an address by the Moderator of the General Assembly Rt Rev Rosie Frew and a talk on the work of TASH Uk


April's Newsletter: The Guild
Our guild managed to return to meeting in person September 2021. The guild’s new strategy “look forward in faith” and the theme for this year: “lights and bushels” could not have been more appropriate for our times. So, we looked forward in faith and started our meetings: masked up, socially distanced, pre-wrapped biscuits. Initially we hosted local speakers. Thankfully we are blessed with such interesting and talented folk in our community. Anne McNeill informed us of trades


What is the Guild?
Duns Parish Church Guild meets fortnightly, from September to March, at 2.00pm in the Church Halls. The Guild is about invitation, encouragement, commitment and fellowship which leads to providing opportunities for continuing growth in Christian faith through worship, prayer and action. The committee produce a varied and interesting syllabus each year which is linked to the Church of Scotland current Guild Theme – there is something for everyone in our programmes. The Guild r
