God Did It For Me, He'll Do It for You!

Happy Friday everyone,

"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). That's what I was (unknowingly) declaring when I fled 30+ years of honour-based abuse on this day, with my daughter, 3 years ago. Taking the "narrow road" in this instance wasn't easy, but I'm so glad I chose to follow my Shepherd, Jesus out of the wilderness and into my promised land (Matthew 7:13-14; Psalm 23).

Just as God delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. So too has He delivered me from the bondage of oppression (among other things), just as He said He would (Luke 4:18). You see the God I serve,Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is a faithful deliverer who promised to hear us when we call on Him - my testimony is proof of this (2 Chronicles 7:14; Exodus 3:15).

So, today, I want you to consider what you (or someone you know) might need 'deliverance' from. Then go boldly to the throne of grace, just as I did, and ask your Heavenly Father for help (Hebrews 4:16; Psalm 121).

God Bless,

Megs
