Since August we have been holding Messy Church in Duns regularly once a month on the afternoon of the 2nd Sundays. Over that time, it has been lovely to welcome a core of families and be getting to know each one that bit better as we listen to Bible stories, sing, craft and play games around the month’s theme. These themes have followed the year - Harvest, Light up the Darkness, Remember Me, Love Rules and Mothers and Others as well as of course Christmas. Sadly, we are not yet able to sit down to a hot meal together round a big table, an important part of Messy Church, but have made do with bringing our own picnics or wrapped snacks.
We have a wonderfully creative and dedicated team who each bring their own God-given giftings and work well together to share God’s love in this way. If you would like to join the team or help out occasionally, please get in touch, or if you would just like to come along and join in, with or without children, you would be very welcome.
