Dear All,
Duns Food Bank
During November we made 39 deliveries and helped 78 individuals (50 adults, 28 children).
At this time of year we like to include festive treats with our deliveries so donations of children’s selection boxes, crackers, mince pies, shortbread, Christmas puddings etc. would be very welcome. Our store is also short of tinned meat, tinned vegetables, sugar, coffee and toilet rolls.
During November we also provided cat or dog food for 25 pets and currently, the food store is short of food for both cats and dogs. We don’t use cash donations for pet food so we’re totally reliant on your generous donations in kind, and any pet food would be welcome.
Donations can be placed in the box at Duns Coop, or left in the porch at Duns Parish Church between 10 and 4 Mon-Sat, or bring to Duns Fair Share at 15 Murray St on Tuesday or Thursday between 10 and 12.
Community Larder and Social Café
The Larder and Café are open every Tuesday and Thursday, 10.00 am – 12 noon (although please note we will be closed on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day) and have now had well over 2,000 customer visits since opening earlier this year. Everyone welcome - please come along for a hot drink and make the most of excellent surplus food.
Duns Fair Share continues to do well in the popularity contest for funding from Tesco in Berwick. Thank you and please do place a few more tokens in the Duns Fair Share box next time you are shopping.
As always, very many thanks for your continued support.
